Hand knitted Shamwari (friend) from Africa. Mama and bub are just too cute! Baby can be taken in and out of the sling for extra fun. Made in Zimbabwe, through a wonderful project that empowers local women, each shamwari is lovingly handmade and is as individual and cheerful as the lady who knitted it! As all soft toys are individually handmade, there may be some slight variation in size and colour.

Beautifully knitted keep-sake toy. I like that it has both a Mumma & baby elephant as you normally only get either one or the other. I also appreciate how they are wrapped together in the same way that many African mothers carry their children. I'm giving it to a friend who's a nurse (& also has a passion for Africa, having volunteered in Kenya on several occasions) who is soon to give birth to her first child.
