Our Joia Silk Shawl is a luxury fashion accessory, crafted with a combination of silk and cotton, allowing you to stay stylish in any season. Handwoven in Ethiopia, artisans hand pick mulberry silk threads and dye them using native plants. The Joia shawl is a unique combination of beauty, craftsmanship and environmental sustainability. The shawl is finished with traditional tied fringing.
The Tenaye necklace features upcycled metal beads and feature Coptic Cross pendant and together with the Joia Shawl makes a striking fashion statement.

About the Maker
Our textile supplier is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization and operates a wonderful facility in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Their workforce is 50% women, and 75% of the management positions are held by women.
Spinners and weavers are employed in a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment.
Textiles are hand-made using cotton, linen and silk and techniques inspired by ancient weaving traditions. All of the dyes are eco-friendly and made of local plants, herbs, and natural products.
