These elephant salad servers are carved from olive wood in Kenya and feature a stylish elephant carved into each handle. Olive wood is used in place of traditional timbers such as mahogany and ebony to aid reforestation of these timbers.
Bundled with Hamlin's very own Berbere traditional, hot Ethiopian spice, perfect for meat, poultry, soups and stews.  Fabulous tastes are only limited to your imagination!  

About the Maker

Wood carving in Kenya provides valuable income to many people in local communities where paid employment can be very scarce.

In the Neem Machakos district, south east of Nairobi, olive wood is being used in place of traditional timbers such as mahogany & ebony in a bid to aid in the reforestation of these timbers.
